Gettin started

Alright, so I finally felt bored enough to make one of these blogs. Just to let yall know, this is going to focused on cycling. So yea, it'll probably bore the crap out of most of you, or if I'm feeling snazzy enough I'll write some fun stuff that might surprise you.

Anywho, for those of you who don't know, I'm going to start racing bikes this year. Yea, that's right, bicycles, two wheels, a chain, and muscle. The fall season is mountain biking season, so I'm going to be focusing mainly on that for the next few months. Starting February is the road bike season, and by then I am hoping to have saved up enough money for a roadie :) And then I'll start racing those...

So I started training and getting back into shape about two weeks ago when I got back to school. Obviously, I'm working mainly legs, but sometimes I have to put the other guys to shame and do the bench press every once in a while. Definitely have the biggest pecs out there... But in all seriousness the first mountain bike race is on Sept. 9th, which is only two weekends away!! AHH! Better get my wheel fixed and get back out on the trails tomorrow (broke a spoke my last ride :(

This is the bike I'll be racing. It's an '03 Rocky Mountain Trailhead with a Rock Shox Pilot c shock in the front. Last time I weighed it, it came in at a portly 31lbs I think (it was a while ago..) whick isn't bad for a 185lb rider.
So over the next week I'm gonna be working on some cardio, toe raises, and leg presses. I've got some goals in mind.
